In this talk at TEDxCanberra 2011, Mary-Anne talks about her heroes, about not letting things stand in your way and about connecting and collaborating with your community. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Mary-Anne Waldren has worked with ABC over many years to produce events with have included: Late Night Live, Life Matters, The Science Show, All in the Mind, The Health Report, Australia Talks and By Design. In fact Mary-Anne has helped facilitate over 70 outside broadcasts over the last nineteen years on science, engineering and enterprise.

Mary-Anne both pioneered a partnership with the ABC and joined forces to stage and broadcast science-themed events with the ABC 18 years ago.
